What Advise Do You Give Your Grandchildren

Well I have 2 grandchildren.I only see one of them on a regular basis, and we are very close. She is 10 years old.She is very inteligent and sweet. I tell her to always respect her elders, get a good education.Be honest.And always stay as sweet and pleasent to be around as she now is.I also tell her about how inportant it is that she should not trust everyone, and that if anyone tries to touch her
inapropratily she should inform either her mother or myself.And she knows never to go with strangers.What advise do you give to your grandchildren?

I only have one that lives close and she is only three. The other ones are much older. To my oldest grandson....I keep telling him to get good grades so he can get an education. He is sixteen. My granddaughter that is fourteen is my girl...even though she lives across the country from me....I tell her to be a good girl...pick good friends. Then the next one also lives far away....and she is nine and she is an innocent yet...a very good girl. But to all of them I constantly remind then that I love them. When my kids were at home when they went out or just left the house I always said....I love you. My oldest daughter told me that many times when something came up where there was a decision to make that might be good or bad....she could hear me say in her mind...I love you and it stopped her many times from making bad choices.

jill,Well that is the best thing we can do for our grandkids is to make sure they know that we love them.And that they can always depend on us no matter what. My granddaughter too knows this. We talk on the phone each day and we too always say we love one another.I always tell her she can talk to me about anything.I let her know that I will love her no matter what.They need to know our love for tyem is unconditional.

Hi,
You are very happy that you have two grandchildren.They are so clever and lovely!I am young now,but it is impossible for me that have 2 grandchildren in the future in China because policy isn't allowed!

I have three grandkids and they are very well behaved kids. Their Dad and Mom has covered the bases on letting them know what to do and how to act. They are very helpful and respectful. They are a joy to be around. They spend the night with my husband one night a month and they live close enough that I see them on a regular basis.
