Is it, or should it be illegal to download tv shows that aren't available in your own country? I know that there are tons of people in other countries interested in American shows that have to download off the internet to stay up to date as the show in question is either not broadcast in their country or is so many seasons behind it's ridiculous. Here in America, we have to search the internet for torrents and such if we want to watch things from the BBC or ITV. Examples that come to mind are Dr Who, Torchwood, Primeval and the Sarah Jane Adventures. So what do you think?

Europeans watch US television all of the time, so why shouldn't we be able to watch theirs? People who have the right equipment installed on their computers do it all the time.

That was a typo. I meant isn't, lol. It is illegal to steal paid channels but apparently there are thousands of free to air channels around the world. Check this out: http://www.the-voip-network.com/freedigitaltv.html

Depends on what country that person is in and if they respect and enforce our copyright laws. For us to go online and download shows from torrents, that is usually illegal.
