my mother would only drink beer from a stein that was in the freezer,
I cannot drink tea or coffee in a glass cup, I find it does not have a good taste that way,
but I do not have to have a wine glass to drink wine, or juice glass, or glass for milk or soda, I will use any kind of glass, I am not fussy,
how about you do you need to drink from special cups or glasses for different beverages?

To be honest I've never sat back and thought about it, but I do have my special mugs and glasses that I use for certain drinks.
My milk and juice has to be in a glass.
My coffee in a to-go type mug, because usually I'm so distracted by my kids sometimes it gets cold to fast in a regular coffee cup.
My tea, which I only drink hot, in a coffee cup...that one's a little different because if it losses some of its heat its still just as good.
Water or soda in a cup can be any type of cup...glass or plastic.

I agree with you about tea - it can't be drunk from a glass. I prefer to have juice or cold water in a glass, but my hot water and hot chocolate must be in a mug. I also have to have my SoCo in a short glass.
It's a great question to ask though - I've never thought about the way I do this!

I wash my cups out with bleach every now and then to get them stain free.

I only have 2 containers for my daily beverages. A ceramic mug for hot drinks and a thermos type to keep my cold drinks cool.

I myself can drink out of any type of glass or cup. But my sister and mom hate drinking out of plastic things.. They say that they just make things taste funny especially if somehting stron has been in the glass even if it has been washed. That the plastic keeps the smell and taste of things that it has had in it.

I don't much care for plastic, but I will drink out of them, just not glass for tea and coffee.

I have a Starbuck's mug, which is used for water. I fill it several times a day. My Campbells's coffee cup is used for hot chocolate or vegetable soup. I find its easier to use only a few dishes, as less to clean.

any tea connoisseur would know that hot tea needs darkness not light to taste properly glass cups brings in to much light and ruins the flavour.

I drink hot chocolate from my mug with hot chocolate written on it for obvious reasons. I drink cold drinks from glasses rather than cups. I actually never drink out of cups. Mugs for hot drinks and glasses for cold drinks.

I am not really particular to where I would put my beverage on, whether it is soda, coffee, milk, water or juices. I guess I am just lazy to wash too many cups and glasses lol. What matters to me is that I enjoy whatever it is I am having. Cheers:)
