| | I am not lactose intolerant, but I admit I do not drink enough milk. I eat spinach a lot (raw) which contains calcium, but I still doubt that I get enough calcium from what I consume. I take calcium supplements. They must work well, because I was told by my doctor to take calcium supplements when I was pregnant. My current doctor told me to take calcium supplements. There really must be something to it! Of course, now that I'm older and going through menopause, I'm taking a prescription drug, Boniva, to help prevent bone loss. | | | | | | | joliefille (1347)

| | I am not lactose intolerant, however I did have a rather calcium kidney stone a couple of years ago, as a result, my doctor advised me to stay away from calcium supplements. I try to eat foods that supply calcium, but have also been warned to go easy on them, since my body may be absorbing too much. You could try soy milk, they also have been coming out with quite a few lactose free products, you should try some of those, I've even noticed lactose free cheeses. | | | | | | | joliefille (1347)
