Yep, my sugar snap peas sure are sweet. I've got about 10 or so peas on the plants now with lots more that should be coming in soon, based on the number of flowers I see.
I picked two of the biggest yesterday and shared with my husband. Oh my goodness, they are so sweet and delicious. I wish I had three times the number of plants that I do as I could eat these every day of the week, and they are just like candy when eating straight from the plant.
I'm having a hard time keeping these plants from falling over at the top now. They're close to 5 ft and still growing!
Do you like sugar snap peas? Do you grow your own or buy them frozen at the grocery?

I've never had a sugar snap pea before. Now you got me wishing I grew at least one plant to taste for myself.

Really? I'll bet you have and you didn't know what they were. They are like a snow pea, similar to what you get in a lot of Chinese stir fry dishes.
Here's a closeup of the first one that popped up, about half grown in this photo. They are flatter than a normal pea.

I know what they are but swear I have never eaten one. Only Chinese I eat is the eggrolls and sweet n sour pork/chicken.
Guess whattttttttttt? My beans that I had my daughter plant last week sprouted.:-D Here is a pic of them.
Now I'm going to have to erect a structure for them in the garden. Think I'll use all the logs I saved from the walnuts we cut down a few years ago. These were very straight and look like wooden posts for fencing. I'll erect them tepee-style tied at the top and bury a plant at the base of each pole.

We didn't grow any this year. But in the past they have been so good. I like these but can't even put a regular pea in my mouth!!!
What my DH has done in the past is put some kind of stake in the pot to secure the vines too. I heard old pantyhose are good to use.

I've got fencing and stakes, but they've outgrown it all! The one's that are on the left side of the small bed that get more sunshine are about 5 ft tall. The ones that are a little more shaded are doing ok with the support I had provided.

I get my food mostly from the food bank when the man next door goes, but he does not go that often anymore, I haven't had any in months.

Oh my goodness, they are so good, not like a true pea at all. They are sweet, almost like candy. I love them!
