Internet/Cable providers

WOW! First of all 100 dollars seems like alot for internet and cable. I pay 100 for Satellite w/DVR, phone service and internet. I would never pay 200 dollars I would just cut it off and catch them up. That is insane.

Goodness, that IS expensive, rrdj71. I had heard of this sort of thing happening, which is why I shopped around for my ISP and signed a 2 year contract so they couldn't put the price up on me. Do you have a telecommunications ombudsman? You could ask them to take a look at your situation and possibly make an arrangement where you are released from being bound to your provider if you undertake to repay them at x$ per month. Obviously you can't get out of debt to them if they add new fees on every month. Good luck sorting it out.

That is a bit much. I know through our current company we are paying $99+ tax for cable, internet and phone service (with a ton of features we didn't even know we were getting). After a year, the price will increase to $120/month, which still isn't too bad for the services.

Often if you call and complain they will reduce your bill to your original amount.
