What do you think about gasebos  

Wow, your husband did a wonderful job of it! I've always loved them and my dad built one in our old backyard and I re-married my ex-husband in it. I find them romantic and beautiful and you are lucky to have such a neat one in your yard and your landscaping around it is so nice. All around you have a lovely backyard!

You have a really cute gazebo. I have never really liked the ones at the store we don't own one we have wicker patio furniture in our screened in porch but I have never had a yard big enough that the gazebo would fit in to even think about whether I wanted one or not. You will enjoy the gazebo better since it was built by your hubby and save money to boot!

Oh i love gazbos ,i wish i had one,they are very pretty and a nice place to sit in the yard....That is good that your hubby built one.Its a nice place to have morning coffee and they are also nice for a barbecue...They have all different kinds ,but yes i do like them very much...I do not have one but i do have a very large porch on the front of my house and i have a swing there and i really enjoy it...

I think some of them are so nice. You are going to love it and enjoy sitting outside in it. Good for him with making it. I am answering this thru my email so if you posted a pic I can't see it yet. I will leave a comment with the pic.

Sounds like he did a wonderful job to make you change your mind like that.. He sounds very handy around the house.. And all for about $400.00, that is great, I bet it looks good in the yard.. Handmade items such as this are in high demand, maybe he could build another and sell it for a lot less that the $4,000.00 that the one you saw cost, he could make a killing on them.. Good going to him..

Grandma that is just beautiful! Now when he is grilling some meat in the backyard and it starts to rain he won't get wet and the food will not be ruined. Actually I think it would be lovely to stash a couple fold-up trays out there and sit out under that gazebo for a picnic lunch...even in the rain if the temperature allowed.

Once when hubby and I and some friends were touring in Napa Valley, California, we bought food at a deli and went to a little lake that had a gazebo much like that one and it did start to rain. We had such a fun time. Your picture reminds me of that place, because there were geese and swans on the lake.

Your hubby did a marvelous job! Think of how much self-esteem that must have given him. Love it!

I am not personally very fond of them, I think they look a bit too pretentious for my tastes. What I would like though is a nice sized simple thatch roofed bohea :)

I've always loved them, I think they are terriblt romantic. I imagine one in a garden set on a clifftop. I could bnever make my own and I could certainly never afford one. I think it's wonderful of your husband to trake such an interest in making something so nice for your home. Just super.

I love gazebos! I've always wanted one, but never have. I would love to sit out in one to read a good book with a glass of tea or lemonade on a nice summer day with a little breeze!

I wouldn't pay for one, either! They are extremely expensive compared to what you actually get! I would want to build my own... well, using my husband's muscles, of course! LOL

It sounds like your husband is quite a handy-man! That must have been something to see... building a gazebo with nothing but a hand saw! Awesome!

I would love to see a picture of it! That's just to show MY husband to make him feel guilty about not building me one yet! But, he'd probably say that we already have a pavilion by the lake so I don't need a gazebo.
