I am using an ordinary 19" CRT monitor, it is working perfectly well but the only problem with it is that it is consuming more power, I can telll You this because when ever Electricity goes off my UPS is getting exhausted very quickly unlike before when it used to be there for 30-40min. Please tell me weather i need to change my monitor or is there any other solution

sure, CRT monitors will consume more power than LCD monitors. better replace ur crt with lcd monitors. so the ups power consumption will be lowered and ups will stay for long time when the power goes off. since in crt, the mechanical parts consume large power, but in lcd, electronics parts are there and they consume very less power.

About a 50% to 66% savings. Unless you are paying a lot for your electricity you will pay more for a new monitor than you will for the electricity. Say $200 for a monitor, $0.10 per kWh, that is 2,000 kWh. 100 W consumption saving gives 20,000 hours of use. Or about 2 years 3 months of continuous use. So, you can't really use this to justify replacing a good monitor. If you are going to buy a new monitor anyway then it is probably worthwhile.

Hi LCD monitors can save electricity. LCD monitors use only one third of the power used by the CRT monitors.
