What types of butterflies do you see most often in your area?

I have seen only a few butterflies around this summer in my area. I love butterflies they are so beautiful! I have attached a picture of the butterfly that I have seen the most often and happened to get a picture of. I looked it up and this is a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly. It is very common so that explains why I have seen mostly these butterflies this summer. I am going to plant a butterfly garden in hopes of seeing many new types of butterflies. In the book I have it says there is a different type of this butterfly where the females are black with yellow spots. That would be really beautiful I imagine. Have you ever seen either types of these Tiger Swallowtail butterflies?

I just saw one and hour or so ago out the back door that kind of looks like the picture I have attached.
I think I'm going to start taking pictures of some of the things around here. Like butterflies and stuff.
My daughter bought me a cool little camera for my birthday and it even has a setting for taking pictures of flowers
