what is the last book |
|
that you have read all the way through? I'm sad to say that mine is Green Eggs and Ham:( well not sad actually because my kids love it but sad that i've not had a chance to read anything for myself in i can't tell you how long. And I LOVE to read-i believe the last semi-adult book I read was a sweet valley high novel-one of the originals not the comeback series. However I bought a new book at the bookstore a few weeks ago HOT PROPERTY by Carly Phillips-romance novel I believe and have been waiting for a chance to crack it open. I think i'm going to designate Sunday as my reading day--I've longed to read a good book again -one for my self--selfish i know:) So my question. what is the last book you read and/ or what do you suggest as a good book to read? My favorite book of all time has to be ELVIS and Me by Priscilla Presley. I've read that at least 100 times and see the movie just as many. My favorite series is the Sweet Valley series created by Francine Pascal

1. scarywhitegirl (2441) | 4 months ago | The last book I finished was Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe, though it was probably the 5th time I've read it. I'm currently reading Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman, which is a collection of short stories and poetry. I do most of my reading on planes, when I travel for work. Most of the time, I just don't think to read when I'm at home, but I need something to do while I'm in transit for several hours.

| 3. LeadAltoForever (30) | 4 months ago | Reading is definitely one of the best things you can do. Personally, I'm a big fan of romance novels - they're entertaining, they're romantic, and they get your blood humming (if you know what I mean). My favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks (ever see The Notebook? He wrote the book that inspired the movie!) and Nora Roberts (VERY well known). My favorite books from Nora Roberts are calls Jewels of the Sun, Heart of the Sea, and Tears of the Moon. It's an irish trilogy about the three members of a family in Ireland who fall in love (of course). It's set in Ireland, which I've always wanted to visit. The books are absolutely amazing, and I love them. You can find her stuff at any Barnes & Noble or Borders, or similar booksellers.

It was a rather interesting book about African Americans and one mans ancestors and the life they had to make it where they were. Ive always loved reading so i plan to read some more books in the future and hopefully finish them if my life doesnt continue to be so busy lol

|
|
| vsr0013 (9) | 4 months ago | Yes, its pretty much the same as the series of it, but it is more interesting to me to read the book over watching the movie of Roots bc its so much more profound and deeper than one could imagine.

5. snowy22315 (5090) | 4 months ago | I read pillars of the earth all the way through but I'm having a hard time getting thru world without end. I think that one I will have to just read the ending because it has to go back to the library July 9 and I am only one third of the way thru the thousand page book.

7. maple_kisses (691) | 4 months ago | The first book ever that I've read without breaks, no food, no interruption, in one sitting (ok, I changed position from sitting to lying down to sitting on my bed, but without taking my eyes off the book:D) was Jeffrey Archer's Kane and Abel. Yep it is that good. I suggest you read it as well as its sequel - The Prodigal Daughter. The last book that I've finished though (still in one sitting) was Rosellen Brown's Before and After. She's not as good as Jeffrey Archer, I must admit, but I've been wanting to know how the story will end so I just have to finish it.
