I've never actually heard of that saying before, but given the amount that I read (currently have four books on the go at once), I'm probably immortal ;)

this doesnt mean that one who reads more books will ever remain young. It simply means that don't leave reading hobbies as you had before and continue reading and it will keep you active all the time and probably withot raedinga nything wil keep one dull and also inactive soemtimes isn't it?

Never once did I get tired of reading. Practically, it's what I do half of the day, no exaggerations! But I do believe the saying and I think I've heard (or read that from somewhere...) it somewhere. I actually love reading books because not only can it keep me occupied when I'm not doing anything but also furnish my mind and entertain me. Reading is good for all people. I don't know why some people are even afraid of books.

Try reading before going to bed. It relaxes you and it becomes a habit. Even if you only read for five minutes before falling off to sleep. You will be able to read longer as you become attached to the story or content of whatever your reading.

I think reading keeps your mind fresh. It's exercise for your brain. I think it helps your memory and your ability to think. So in that respect it does keep you young. Kind of like exercising regularly staves off many illnesses and diseases of the body.

I believe, when you read lots, it keeps your brain active and it gives you more to talk about. So, therefore, I guess with your brain active, it does keep you young. I love to read! If I didn't, I wouldn't be on mylot trying to make some money. It takes lots of time reading discussions. And, when I start, I want to read everything everyone says!
