| | Macbook, faster and not preloaded with Vista, Very expensive, and good processor. A con is that if you have pc software, if they make it for the mac, you will have to more than likely but another copy of the program. The mac is not as compatible with the pc world, but then again a mac is the fastest and coolest computer of the world. Look up under discussions iMac with Leopard, and read my review about the mac for more info. | | | | | | |

| | I went to an electronics store a few weeks ago and here are some pros and cons that I saw: pros - every new laptop has a built in webcam so you dont need to pay extra if youre a camera lover or dont have a digital camera, easy to use / cons - the webcam is built in and if it breaks its going to cost a lot of money to replace it, on macs its really hard to get used to it if you have had a pc before, there is cool things that pcs dont have like, "sticky notes" and you can remind yourself of what you need to do everytime you log on and other cool things like that. | | | | | | |

| | Here are some pros: If there is an Apple store near you service is available the same day when you have a problem, from the manufacturer. No PC can offer that kind of service. That's free service while under warranty. And still free if you just need help with how to use your Mac even after the warranty is up. Your Mac and its software are made by the same company. One of the biggest problems with a PC is that MS has to cater to hundreds of software and hardware makers. You don't need to run anti-virus software on your Mac. You won't be nagged every single time you try to do something, unlike Vista. The can run Windows easily. Your PC can't run the Mac OS. Cons: There is a learning curve. Depending on how well you pick up technology you'll spend some time getting used to your Mac. There might be some software you'll need to purchase again to have a Mac version. You might have some obscure hardware or software that won't run easily on your Mac, but that is not likely. I am an MCSE (microsoft certified systems engineer). I've made lots of money consulting on enterprise products for Microsoft. I switched to Mac and would never go back to MS unless there were radical changes. I find a PC to be one obstacle after another. For the typical home user the Mac is far more appropriate. In terms of price, don't compare the Macbook to $499 laptops. Those laptops are dogs that can barely run Vista. You get what you pay for. | | | | | | |

| | The only real problem with owning a Mac is the limited choice of software available. Most software companies tend to concentrate on the Windows platform due to the increased market, so the Mac equivalent has always been quite a long way behind. | | | | | | |
