Whom can we consult? |
|
A little while ago, I came across a discussion that really interested me. My response took more than 30 minutes, and I'm a pretty fast typist. A typo caused a perfectly innocuous word to be a myLot no-no, so I fixed it. It wasn't fixed, though; it was just cut! Is there a way to fix a typo I hadn't noticed without penalty? Acrually, the penalty isn't what's important. I know the response I gave was valuable to the issue, and it's just gone. There's something inherently wrong with being unable to fix an error!
Those of you who are much more experienced than I, what can be done?

1. heartonfire (1936) | 1 year ago | i didn't understand what u meant...usually if mylot finds a word to be offensive,it tells you that you need to change it,and you go back and change it the way you want.. i usually leave a space between 2 letters or add a* among the letters so the word can't be recognised..or i simply replace it..so what do you mean about the penalty? and why couldn't you fix the error?... maybe it's just me that doesn't understand what you meant, let's see what others say too

cobrateacher (4213) | 1 year ago | The correct word was as, but the s was accidentally doubled. I went back and deleted one of the s's, and the whole response was sent off into cyberspace! I really didn't expect that.

cobrateacher (4213) | 1 year ago | That's what I expected, but I fixed the goof (the extra s on the word as), hit the post bar, and off it went into cyberspace. It certainly wasn't purposeful, and I'm really sorry it happened. I want to understand the mechanisms better, so I won't mess up again. Thanks.

It might not even be myLot's fault. How stable was your Internet connection? If it's anything like mine, there is a possibility that the response got lost during transmission.
