I make a craft every year for everyone on my christmas list. Last year it was hand stitched pillowcases- 11 sets so 22 total pillowcases. I think this year I'm going to go the scrapbook route as well. I'm really interested in it but don't know much about it. Good luck to you!

Hello ,
That is the furthest thing from my mind right now , but the other day I was thinking about why people always say christmas in July . I think I wont get in the spirit till the fall months , and then I will start to keep an eye open . I also am gonna make a book for my friend this year , but wont start till the end of summer . I do have some ideas in my head though . It is never too early to start , but most times I am always rushing . Maybe this year I can start early and then be able to enjoy more

Cher913,
I cannot believe that you are so on the ball that you are already thinking about Christmas! And you're already making gifts, incredible!
No, I am not doing any Christmas crafting right now. And I don't do as much of that as I used to. But, just a few years ago, I spray painted my own wrapping paper and people really flipped over it.
I picked up leaves in the yard, laid them out on that brown paper you buy in rolls (it looks like the paper that brown grocery bags are made from). I stuck the leaves down with a tiny bit of scotch tape on the back, arranging them randoming on the paper. Then, I spray painted uneven areas of gold or silver spray paint. After it dried, I removed the leaves. The paint left an outline of the leaves.
Everyone I gave a gift to that was wrapped in the paper just loved it! I'd seen the idea in Martha Stewart Living several years ago. Writing this makes me want to do it again!
Happy Christmas crafting, Cher913.

No, I'm very far behind and haven't even started yet. Actually, I've only created a couple of autumn items so far. No Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas yet. I do have quite a few supplies for Christmas, I just have been struggling to motivate myself to sit down at my creating table and get to work.
I guess I have the summer-time blues!
