An amateur photographer got into a derelict hospital building that was closed in 2001,and found patient records laying around! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/7499749.stm would you be concerned if you'd been a patient at this hospital? has anything like this happened to you? seems this isn't the first place records have turned up...

How the hell do they forget to take the patient records with them when they closed it down? I mean that is just so sloppy and just once again proves how bad our hospitals can be!! Thankfully I 've never been a patient anywhere where they have closed it down but would bemortified if this happened to me! x

It's sort of like "Would the last person to Leave please turn off the lights"! Was somebody revving the engines outside at the time of the closure, shouting "We gotta GO!!!" like Godzilla was on the rampage and they *HAD* to evacuate ?! and they forgot this stuff was still in there? Surely there are people responsible for the various departments whose job it was to make sure nothing was left behind? Or were they off sick that day,and never got around to it?

That's very wrong, the hospital should have moved or destroyed the records when the closed down. This sort of information is not supposed to come out.

It seems no matter how much they try to let on that the private information held about us in such files as these is safe and secure,There's always a way that somebody can manage to (accidentally? or negligently?) undo it all and the Authorities end up with Egg on their faces trying to clear up the mess..I wonder how many of those files were still current?....
