How do you come up with blog titles/usernames?

I've had a few online journals here and there, but for the most part they were for playing around (usually in a roleplay of some sort). There was no thought or planning required to make those journals; I would slap a username on if it was available, use the basic layout of the free journal, upload some icons and away I'd go!
Well, now I'm considering starting up one or two blogs for slightly less frivolous reasons. I'm not sure that they'd be any good for money, but I'd like them to look more organized and professional.. and in my opinion, that starts with the name of the blog.
Of course, there are two big factors that already come to mind when I think of naming one's blog:
1. The name should be relevant to the topic(s) you pick and relatively easy to remember, and
2. The name should fit within the character limit provided by the blog service you're using.
Aside from that, however, I'm a bit lost. So I ask you fellow bloggers: how do you come up with names for your blogs? Which blog websites do you use? Which would you recommend?
Thanks for your help!

I'm not an expert on blogging either. For me, when I create a blog, I try to figure out what I want the blog to be about. From there, I brainstorm a name. Sometimes a name will just pop into my head, and I just go with that one. I use both blogger.com and wordpress.com. Both are easy to use, though wordpress offers more choices for themes than blogger. I would recommend using both of them and see with which suits you better.

Blogger I've seen and it looks relatively easy to use. Wordpress, however, looks pretty complicated. Apparently you have to find a webhost in order to set up your weblog...? That part confuses me. I've noticed that a lot of people tend to use wordpress, but all I want is a blog, and not an entire website (yet)! Still, I appreciate your comments. Thanks!

Well, I am by no means an expert on blogging or setting up blogs, but maybe the way I came up with the name for my blog can help you. I named my blog the P.R.O.V.E. Blog (Providing Realistic Opportunities in Vital Environments) as kinda a double meaning. First, its the place where I put down all my activity in my online ventures because the main thing you don't see on the internet when looking over these opportunities is PROOF that they work, at least not readily. Second, I feel that showing proof that some programs actually do work, I can do exactly as the acronym says, provide realistic opportunities in a vital environment, your home. The url that I used just solidifies the purpose of the blog: http://provingit2u.blogspot.com

Aaah, I see, that's clever! Thank you for sharing. I've glanced at your blog once or twice, and I like the idea a lot.
My planned niche for my own blog ideas will be something fairly different, but it's nice to get some advice from those who've made/had blogs before. Thank you for sharing!

I name my blogs according to the main topic and what impression I want readers to get. An interesting name will attract people, but it also needs to give at least a hint of what the blog is about. If you're not going to make money from the blog the title isn't that important. Just go with whatever makes you happy.
I use both Blogger and Wordpress. I prefer Wordpress (.com) for its themes and features, but Blogger for the ability to use your blog to make money. If you want to make money with Wordpress, you have to do your own hosting and use the version of the software from wordpress.org. The software is free, but hosting usually isn't. Wordpress and Blogger are both very easy to use, so if you're used to using online apps at all, neither will be a problem.

There are so many opportunities on the internet and I have found that if I intend to visit my account another time I have to remember my username and password. A big problem if you just slap it on without thinking about it. Cheers!!
