Mylor neighbors, where do you live??

I said that I wasn't going to respond to all of the responses but I might have lied.. I understand the names of our cities and states in the US but sometimes the names of your locations in England seem so different, would Stoke on Trent be comparable to a state in the US?? I was never any good at Geography..

Ummm, I actually failed geography at school but I think that it would be yes. If I am wrong then maybe someone will notice and correct me!

Oh well, I should have failed spelling as well, I just noticed that I had a typo and spelled Mylot as Mylor in the discussion name, how bad is that.. They should have had a class in Typos at school, I would have failed it or maybe have passed it as I do enough of them..

LOL I did notice it, but did not want to embarrass you by pointing it out! It is easy to make though as the t is right next to the r!

That sounds nice, a small coastal village, 3 little words that conjure up some of the nicest images..

Isn't that supposed to be spelled New Joisy, or something like that.. Do you guys have the accent that is portrayed on all of the movies and TV shows?? Not all of us Southerners have the accent that is portrayed on movies or TV either.. But it isn't a bad thing to be known by the sound of your voice.. Good to meet you also..

I have never been to New York, never been out of Tennessee for that matter, but I would love to go to New York, I believe that I would honestly be happy living there... I thought it was a great idea but after I got it off the ground and going, I noticed my typo so we are now on the Mylor site.. They are going to have to change the name

NY has some pretty high taxes. I'd actually like to leave the state... but not sure where I'd want to go.

Tennessee is a pretty nice place to live, but I haven't been anywhere else to compare it to.. Hubby would like to move to Florida but his sister lives there and the taxes are pretty high there also..

Is your country as beautiful as it is portrayed?? Every description that I have ever read about Scotland makes it sound so clean, serene, comfy and homey.. Is it really that way??

Yes but we take it all for granted Donna.Heres a pic from my back fence of the ochil Hills. Its not that great as i couldnt be bothered climbing the fence to walk into field closer .

That is what I pictured it being like in Scotland, but do you not have rolling hills of Heather, I have heard of Scottish Heather before and picture the hills just being full of the most beautiful heather ever seen.. And I don't know what Heather looks like.. I use my imagination probably more that it needs to be used.. I always thought that Heather would look like Lavender but different colors..

I am sure that you all are not bad at all! lol. I am moving to Washington DC and I expect to do so before the end of the year. If all goes to plan I may even be there by September/October!

Do you like it better in TN than in the other states?? Tennessee gets a bad rap sometimes but we are a great bunch of people to be around.. I would love to have enough money to just go to a bunch of the northeastern states and go antiquing, (is that a word), I have heard that there are many, many shops, stores and different fairs and sales where you can buy antiques.. I would go in the fall of the year as I have seen many pictures of those states and they are gorgeous, but TN has great fall scenery also.. thanks for the response, even if I did spell Mylot wrong, I wish I had a penny for every typo that I make on here..
