2012: End of the world, global understanding, or another year?

What do you think of 2012? There are many different predictions, from end of days for humans, to a new global understanding like the zodiac predicts... And a good majority sees it as just another year. Reality or superstition?
What do you see coming for the year 2012?

Hi sugarplum, There is no doubt that a change in human consciousness is coming, but I think it has already started. I have always said that I expected 2012 to be like any other year, and I don't think anything out of the ordinary will happen on December 21 of that year. There have been thousands of predictions for the end of the world and I'm sure there will be many more, but the end of this world for all of us will be when we die, for some it will be before 2012, but for some I expect it will be many years after. I'd say it's the latest round of media scaremongering. The Mayans never claimed it was the end of the world, merely the end of their calendar. When your calendar runs out, you get a new one. Frankly, I think the press are just disappointed Y2K wasn't the global disaster they made it out to be, so they're having another go.
