It Aggreviates A Mother So....Or Maybe It's Just Me...???

Okay, today the kids wanted to go for a walk and my daughter got a new bike and wanted to ride it so I said okay. Half way down the street my daughter starts whining because she doesn't want to ride her bike she wants to go back home. I told her no, that she wanted to ride her bike and go for a walk and that is what she is going to do. Why is it that kids want to do things and then when you do them with them they don't want to do them anymore? It aggreviates me so, do your kids do things like that too that aggreviate you?

Haha! My daughter and I normally take the bus to school but on this one day, she insisted she'd ride to school so I took the bike and guess what happened, ended up dragging it along half way to school as she didn't want to ride anymore and then took the bus back and had to get on with the bike.. They change their minds so fast, these little things! I do not think they mean to aggrevate us, they just change their minds and are quite naturally short sighted in their thinking and we kinda have to be extra patient sometimes:)

LOL Yes, they don't think too far ahead. It is so hard to be patient sometimes though.

I know what you mean...I am a single mom too and most times you're tight on time and rushing to do things and get everything done and you're stressed about something sometimes and they just don't have much concept of any of that. Totally understand what you mean:)

Exactly, you totally get it. It is so hard being single. I mean, my daughter's dad is in her life, but my son's dad isn't, so I have him totally on my own and I don't have anyone to say, "Hey, can you take the kids for a little while?" so I can get a few minutes to myself or get some time to just totally clear my head. Man, what I'd do for some time like that right now.

My son is the opposite. He will tell you that he does not want to go somewhere or do something or even eat a particular something and then a little while later he is complaining that he does want to do it. That is also agrravating.

Oh, yeah, I'm sure that can be just as aggreviating as what I've experienced. It's hard to be patient.

I don't think there is a parent on this entire earth that hasn't been through that. I haven't been able to figure out why they do it, unless it is to try our patients and make us prove that we are not going to kill, them no matter what!LOL

My kids do this all the time even my teens. I think they really want to do the things but then realize how much work it is and get lazy. They change there minds to much . I think it gets worse with age.

I don't know why kids do that. My teenager does stuff like that and, yes, it is aggravating as all get out
