I saw it on tv and I didn't know that cats could do that. I know cats make good mothers but I don't know to panda cubs too.

Hi estherlou! That is amazing! That cat is a very kind and compassionate animal, a nurturing kind at its best! I have seen it in the news before and heard it from another mylotter too. It is really incredible that you can hear kindness amongst animals. I hope we humans can learn so much from that. haha..

That was so cute. I like the panda, but those kittens are so cute.

Yeah there have been many reports on myLot about this and a lot of news coverage... incredible how when you think you have figured out Mother Nature she throws you a curve and things end up completely different than what you would think.

It reminds me of the time when a little boy fell over into a gorilla pit and a mother (female) gorilla protected the boy against the males.... crazy man!

Hello dear estherlou. It is such a pity that the little red panda's mother refuses to breastfeed this little baby of hers. But it is lucky of him to be accepted by the mother cat to breastfeed him. I hope that this little baby panda will grows well under the tender care of the mother cat. Thank you so much for the link of the news.

Yes cat's quite often come to the rescue of some baby or another. It is quite common here in the US for this to be happening. My friends cat nursed some mice as the momma had died. It was the cutest thing you ever saw..Lori

I think that it is so beautiful the way that animals are able to nurse the babies of other animals. They see the need and satisfy it. Shame on the mother panda for not taking care of her own little one.

thanks for that. cats are wonderful mothers. big or small. i got an email on myspace with pics. i wish i knew how to post here, where this tiger cat let a whole litter of about 5 little pigs whos mother died, nurse her. its so sweet.
