Should myLot add a "No Best Response" button or function??

I have been making a solid effort to catch up on over two years of topics posted to mark a best response for each of them. It has taken me a considerable amount of time and now thankfully my "Unresolved Discussions" section has been reduced from well over 20 pages to just two......
But now comes the dilemma! The two pages that are left I cannot or will not mark a "Best Response" for because there are either NO response to choose from; OR the responses provided are so few and so far from the point of the topic that they don;t deserve to be even acknowledged, let alone marked as the best!
Because of the above; I basically can NEVER move these topics out of "Unresolved Discussions". Do you think it would be good if we could actually select a "No Best Response" option so we CAN clear these back-logs? Maybe myLot could allow this after a certain time period or something? Some of these topics I have with no responses for example are over a year old...... Surely if someone was going to respond they would have by now??
What do you all think? Am I making something out of nothing in wishing to fully clear my "Unresolved Discussion" section? Or is my suggestion valid?

No, you are not making something out of nothing.. You have reminded me to go in and clear up all of my old discussions.. I am sure that I don't have as many as you do, but I don't like loose ends, I like things neat and tidy.. Maybe you need to send this idea to Mylot and they may put it into action.. As far as the Best Responses, I am not sure what you can do unless you just go into them and close your eyes and then pick one.. But if you honestly feel that strongly about it, you may have to leave them unresolved.. Good luck with whatever decision you make....

Well the problem is that there are eight or so topics with NO responses whatsoever and all are well over a year old! It sounds like you are a little like me in that you are somewhat of a perfectionist and like to leave no stone unturned! I will try to make the recommendation to myLot and let's see what happens! Thanks for responding and good luck in clearing up your own backyard too!

If you will send a message to me with the eight topics included, I will respond.. I tried looking through all of your discussions to find the ones that needed a response but there were too many and I couldn't find them. It might help. I will also try and give a great response for you.. Maybe it will help you to tie up all of the loose ends..

I appreciate the offer and please do the same in return if you have some outstanding ones as well! The embarrassing part is that many of these topics were done when I first joined so are all over the place in terms of context! lol. I head out of the country tomorrow for 5 days but may just take you up on your offer when I get back! On the other hand, this may also be a lesson for me to learn how to accept that not EVERYTHING has to be perfect all the time too! Decisions, decisions!

It is an understandable valid point. As to myself, I'm so happy to have just anybody respond that if a thread gets only one response, I give it best response, no matter what. I do this because I've had a lot of threads without any response in the past. Think of it as, "Best response, doesn't mean good response, only the best of what was offered.".

Lol. Well if myLot were to take the advice you have put at the end of your response then maybe we would also have to nominate them to the Guinness Book of Records as the "World's Longest Online Selection Button!". I too have many without responses and several with such ridiculously irrelevant answers that there is no way I can bring myself to mark them as the best; even though some are also stand alone. Thanks for responding.

We are all entitled to choose someone who is a "best response" for us but sometimes, we really can't pick a best response because of very few response to our discussion. Adding a "no best response" function might help but it doesn't really matter for me.
