How old is to old for a nuk? My kids always refused them when they were little. The boy I babysit needs his. He is almost two! Don't lose the nuk or you will be in trouble. how old is two old for this nuk? Did your kids have one? How do you wean them off the nuk.

What's a nuk? lol Is that like a pacifier? We call it a binky. Or my friend calls them soothers. Gosh, so many words for one little thing. I do think 2 is too old for them. I actually hardly used them on my kids. My oldest had one until 6 months, but he kept dropping it and losing it, so eventually I just stopped buying them. Weening him wasn't too bad so far as I remember. My younger kids just never got hooked on them, so I am pretty lucky. With me, when I ween... I do it cold turkey for the most part. I would take the binky away from him when he shows up, and put it in his diaper bag, and tell him he can't have it at your house.

Binky that is what I am talking about. I will try that. I don't think it would be good for their teeth. Have a good day.

My son would never take a pacifier; he would spit it out and stick his thumb or fingers in his mouth. So I let him have his choice since I always knew where his fingers were! He sucked his thumb until he was about four years old and gave it up himself when he was ready. I never nagged or discouraged him; when he got to be about three he would only do it when he was tired and then quit on his own shortly after that. He has perfectly straight teeth, too.
