I just completed the pillow I had been needing to make for the "dish" chair my son found when he was cleaning out an old office. I found the material on sale for $1/yard and I didn't have a pattern so I made it "out of my head" so to speak. I wish I had the picture software on this new laptop ready I'd take a picture. Maybe I'll get in on here soon and learn how to use it. It took a entire $13 box of stuffing to go in the pillow and I think I could stuff another box of it inside LOL but I think after we sit in it a bit it'll be fine. Then.............. I started on my 20 month old grand-daughter's Strawberry Shortcake afghan. It is the type where you crochet the picture into the afghan. The pattern is to cross-stitch it on top of the white after you have crocheted in single crochet the entire afghan in white but I wanted to do it different so as I crochet I'll keep the different colors of yarn in ziploc bags on the back and pull them up as I need them to do the pattern. I hope it turns out good. Then I have a Harley Davidson one to do for my grand-son due in September. LOL (Really for my son that wants it supposedly for the little one coming in September. LOL) So I'll start it when I get the rest of the yarn tomorrow. Wow! I love being so busy! God bless you for reading this!

Being busy can be fun! I don't think I've ever seen a crocheted afghan where the picture was actually stitched like that. Definitely post pictures! They sound very neat.

I did quite a few flag afghans a couple of years back this same way. You keep all the different colors of yarn hanging in the back and work them under the others when you can and it looks almost as neat on the back as on the front. It is a bit of a challenge. I finally got batteries to work in the camera so I will see if I can take a picture when I get it done. Thanks and God bless you!
