How often do you use artificial flavorings and powdered seasoning when you cook?

I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen and my friend sent me a package about flavorings from Maggi and Knorr. I tried it and its tasted a lot better but how often or do we need to limit ourselves from using flavorings?

I never use them! The whole idea of adding chemicals to your own food when you can make real food that tastes fantastic is madness in my opinion. I use ingredients such as herbs and spices to create great flavours. For example tonight I was doing a greek stir-fry, so it's a tomato-based dish of turkey meat and vegatables (stir-fried because I like to cook it quick) with grated lemon peel, chopped black olives, black pepper and olive oil to give it a greek-inspired flavour, but also with garlic and chopped chillies for extra kick. Flavour also comes from the main ingredients used. In this dish I had leeks which add to the flavour and also crumbled feta cheese on top to serve.
