It's been one of those days that I wouldn't be able to find my head even though

I'm going to admit that I have this flow problem to my brain, that has to be the only explaination for the way things have been going. I want to admit that the oxygen flow is diminished because of my asthma, but I've had this problem since I was a kid. I spent today looking for things that were right in front of me. It started with the remote for my dish antenna. I searched all over my sewing table for the darned thing and I finally looked down at my right hand, which was resting on it. Then it was searching for my scissors, which were in my hand...I wasted a few minutes looking for them...DUH!!! Then I couldn't find my driving glasses. I tore my house, car, work room and purse apart looking for them. I finally resorted to my old pair of bifocals (using them is another story. I'm already half crazy and if I had to use them full time it would put me over the top!)and figured I would have to get a new pair of driving glasses to the tune of $200. When I got home I went to my dresser and there were my driving glasses sitting there (I could hear them in my mind going "naner naner naner, we got you!!" and laughing at me!). Oh, and then I was looking for some of the stuff that I had bought at Wal Mart a couple of days ago. I searched everywhere for the bag of items (I don't always get to unpack the bags.) Two of the items were a box of hair color and a bag of floss picks. I again tore the house apart looking for the stuff...only this time I gave up and went back to trying to cut out bears. I went to the toilet and looked at the counter and sitting there was both items.
If all that wasn't bad enough, I wanted my debit card so I could check the balance. I couldn't find it!!! I about lost it totally. I tore my purse apart, I searched my washer since I put the clothes to town the last time I used it in the washer with a load, I searched my desk, dresser, bedside table, even the dog's crate (they do tend to thieve! I couldn't find it. Finally I double checked my wallet and there it was behind my drivers license.
I guess the best thing that I couldn't find was the cat. I searched everywhere for my Maine Koon cat. I was going quietly nuts because he is an inside cat and I work hard at making sure he doesn't get out. I spent two hours yesterday looking for him both in the house and my screened patio where he is allowed to prowl. I couldn't find him, I called like a maniac and there was no cat. Finally after going nuts for two hours I happened to look on top of a stack of bear making supplies and there was the idiot cat-he'd been staring at me looking for him.
I have decided that I have lost it!! I have said I should just give up and go crazy but it's too much work thinking up material. I know it's just one of those crazy periods in time for me...but I figured I would share it with others that are probably going through the same thing...
Say, has anyone seen my...

oh man i hate those days! ive spent an a good hour looking for my glasses, only to discover them on my head. did that at work once..NOBODY told me they were there!
for the most part i dont lose things on those days..i drop them and then have to attempt to pick them up a bare minimum of twice..missing it each time my like a millimeter! i bash my feet on couches or chairs, my knees and shins on tables..i somehow misjudge how much the doorways have moved since the day before-and bash my shoulders into them trying to walk thru!!
i hate those days...

Thank you! I can so relate! Fortunately I wasn't going anywhere, I have been known to slam my head in the car door! I did that once and ended up at the ER because I cut my ear. Can you imagine telling the people at ER that you slammed your head in the car door?
Oh, I also ran my foot over with my office chair that I have at my sewing machine. I jumped and bashed my heel on the spoke that holds the wheel so I can't wear normal shoes, I can only wear flip flops.
I can also relate to having to attempt to pick up things multiple times. I also will get them picked up and drop them again. The funniest thing was while I was working retail, it was Christmas time and we had gotten special containers for people who bake and make candy to give gifts in. We had a particular design that the customer wanted four of the same container, which was glass. We had managed to round up three, and I found the fourth one. The customer was thrilled. And, the klutz I truly am, had it firmly in my hand and I had a brain fart and dropped the very last one of the containers we had in stock. Of course it knocked on the shelf and it looked like it was going to be okay, but when I reached down to pick it up I got it about three inches off the floor and dropped it again. It fell and shattered.
I wanted to be a ballerina when I was growing up, but I am such a klutz that I would wipe out Swan Lake in one easy trip! I even got excused from gymnastics in high school because I froze in absolute terror on the balance beam. They had to get one of the boys coaches to lift me off. I don't think the scars have ever gone away from the scratching the poor man got when he lifted me off the beam. His head was a mess (It probably wouldn't have been so bad if he had had hair! LOL) I was worse than a cat when it came to fear scratching.
When I have one of those days, I should have the brains to just sit quietly and wait for it to go away, but I'm not that smart! Of course it doesn't give me things to laugh about later either!!!
Have a great day, and by the way, your glasses are on top of your head. (Mine are usually on my nose...)
