Career of Brett Favre of Green Bay Packers  

What is done is done, can't be changed. I wish he had never told them he was retiring. But, from what he told Greta last night, he was sort of forced to say No, or Yes. And he said he would not truthfully say on March 3rd that he was 100% for the game. He wanted to be given time until the summer camp, but they would not let him wait. So he said he would retire. I believe somebody would take him, though, if they would release him from his contract.

That's what I heard. I also believe it could have had something to do with not wanting to wait around for an answer. In that sense, I could see why they did what they did. I don't know who is going to take him because I'm not sure. I would probably say that he has a uniform wearing on another team that he never truly retired. I'm not sure where you could picture him playing. I can't and thought he would have wanted to retire on a high note with a great year.

By the way, Green Bay is my favorite team also.

I saw him on Greta again last night. I think he's getting tired of the way he's being treated. He told them no way did he want to go back and be backup quarterback, but the should have given him a chance and let him decide in summer camp. I think they were pushing him out in order to keep his reputation intact, but that should have been HIS decision. It's probably more about protecting THEM than him since he brought so much to that team. He wants to be traded or a free agent. But he said to be traded, there is no way GB would let him be traded to a team they played. And they are not going to let him be a free agent because there is no telling who would go after him then. I hope he gets free of his contract and can play. I'd love to see him play one of their rivals and beat the socks off Rodgers! There's been too many things said about the situation.

You are right. One day it could be one of the other players and what will they do or say then? Brett has done what he needs to have done, and now I think I'd go an extra mile to try and get to be a free agent. I think it's unfair for them to hold him and not let him play. I did hear last night that the next step is to get reinstated and then other teams can try to get a trade. But, the only thing is, he won't be going to one of the teams that Green Bay Packers play, and I think that is wrong.

But my husband went through that very same thing on the job he retired from. He got offered another better position at a different terminal and he had it when the interviewer left the terminal. Well, his boss made sure he didn't get it by making some derogatory remarks to the guy about my husband. He knew he had to okay the move and no way would he do that! He knew he couldn't do his job without Bill there. Well, Bill lost the better position and decided do retire early. So the supervisor lost, too, since he lost my husband and another guy who wasn't equipped to do his job on the computers. Too much for him, and he almost had a heart attack and had to retire, too. So sometimes these kind of things can reach out and BITE you so perhaps the Green Bay Packers will some day wish they hadn't treated Brett the way they have.

They will regret their decision later.
