How to cure my wife's allergy ?  

This sound like a reaction to the nickel that is in most jewelry and builds in the system until problems, like she has, creep up. It helps to paint the metal parts of watch bands, clothing hooks, metal buttons and such with a clear nail polish. There are PH balancing creams on the market, such as Acidmantle, that will ease the irritation. Also, try using a cortizone cream to ease the itching and aide in the healing. Safeway pharmacies can get the Acidmantle cream for you if they do not have it in stock. I swear by it and I used to use it on my childrens' diaper rash. Good luck!

have you try'ed zyrtec? my son has a rar skin disess and the doc has him on a dayly dose of half a teaspoon

Here is my suggesting, as I aso have incredibly sensitive skin and even have controlled eczema on certain parts of my body. Non-gold or non-silver jewelery doesn't bother me anymore, i suppose i grew out of it. but i guess your wife grew INTO it !

its expensive to only buy pure jewelery, so here is what i used to do and what i continue to do if a metal affects my skin.


say your wife has a ring that she likes to wear but it affects her skin. here is what you can do!:
get an adhesive band-aid. do you see the part without the pad on it? the two flaps that hang off either side, that is! take some scissors or a small sharp razor and cut a small strip out of the adhesive flap on the bandaid the same size as the band of the ring. place the strip, sticky side down, on the inside of the ring-band going all the way around the inside of the ring.

this way, when your wife puts the ring on the metal will not actually touch her skin. she can wear the ring and not be affected :]

of course this wont work for ALL jewelery or all metal on clothing, but its a good place to start! in the long run you may have to get your wife to an allergist or doctor and have them give her a more long-term solution :]
