Do you converse to your husband when he is driving?

I don't converse with my husband when he drives because he told me before that he wants to concentrate when he drives but I always check on him because oftentimes he falls asleep while driving specially if it is a long distance. I usually give him something to eat like nuts, cookies or anything that would make him awake.
What about you? do you often converse with hi, when driving? what did you do when he starts yawning?
Just want to hear from your experience.

I don't talk to my husband in the car, whether he's driving or I'm driving. We're usually both quiet, unless we have the radio on and I'm sitting there singing away..lol. I noticed that the other day when we were going down the road, we don't talk when we're in the car, I guess we don't have anything interesting to say to each other. Now if his buddy is with us, thats all they do is talk and talk and I just sat there and listen. He don't ever fall asleep driving, so I don't have to worry about trying to keep him awake.

same with my hubby, when friends are in the car riding with us? they have a lot to talk about but when we are together, we seldom talk unless we have some important things to talk or a joke to share. But most often our minds are preoccupied with other things. He is thinking a lot and I am too. that is why when he asked questions with me I can't answer because don't hear what he was saying...

I love it when my wife speaks to me when I drive. It's the best conversation most time. I don't however like it when she jumps at me for doing someting crazy or when I lost concentration for a moment.
But I think it's good that we talk and often

HI Bebs,
We are both talkative so oftentimes, we will be talking a lot in a trip..Sharing thought about places we pass through, building around, tress and birds..We just talked about anything...LOL!
But, when I am sleepy, HE will just allow me to take a nap and he will turn on the music, in that way, it will help him awake...HE loves rock and roll, so, it quite jolly and a bit noisy! LOL!

My husband does not fall asleep while driving, but I do converse with him while he is driving. I find this a good time to catch up and relax from our day at work. After all he has nothing else do to but talk to me. ^_^

No, I don't really talk to my husband while he is driving. We play the music so we don't need to talk. He drives very rugged so I let him concentrate on the road. We probably argue too much in the car though.

Wow, you poor girl! That sounds so scary! I couldn't ride with someone if I was afraid that they would fall asleep. I would have to insist on driving and maybe playing the stereo. Loudly. While spraying a cold mist of water into my husband's face. That is, if I was married.

Oh girl, you just say that because you are not married. It is not good to spray cold mist on your hubby's face? that is mean my dear. Yes it is indeed scary when one is sleeping while driving that is why I keep on giving him something to eat.
thanks for your response.

hahaha!! my hubby too. He said, to me often to not talk to him while he is driving because his concentration would be diverted. But why is it that there are couples who said it is the best bonding time while they are together in the car they would talk?
Well, maybe it depends upon the mood? or what?
