Today I was sitting here and thought oh I have some time I should go in and check out mylot and see what is going on. I ran across a topic on imaginations and it caught my attention so I decided to go in and respond. Once I did that I decided hmmm wonder what other discussions this person has started and while in their page I noticed that they had started several really good ones so I went and hit several of their topics with responses of my own. I think I did close to 10 if not more. I do this from time to time I will find a good topic answer it then check out the other topics the person has started and just stay on their stuff for awhile and before I know it have responded to several. I do this to my friends list as well. Does anyone else do this? Do you venture away from you friends list and the normal way people do mylot? Or am I nuts? But then agian being nuts or crazy isn't to bad...lol

Yes I do that sometimes when I've responded to a discussion which is of particular interest to me, I then visit the profile of the person who started it and see what other discussions they have started, and also look at some of the discussions they responded to. When I do this I may find discussions and people I had not seen before.
I don't stick only to discussions my friends started. As far as I'm concerned we are all friends here at myLot and I look for topics to respond to under my own interests and in new discussions.
When I have been offline for a long time I will take a look back in the lists to see if I missed anything of interest to me.
When I see posts about not being able to find any discussions to respond to, I wonder how hard that person has looked. I always find something to respond to, but maybe not in the latest lists, sometimes it could be a discussion which has been around for a while and I had not discovered it before.

Nah, you're not nuts. If you are then i guess i am nuts too. I do that all the time. I think it's a great technique to be fishing for interesting topics. I have bookmarked a lot of profiles already. These are profiles from people who own some of the interesting topics i couldn't find on my tabs. I've bookmarked you by the way, and only on page two. More pages to go! You might want to check mine as well. Lol!

I get bored really easy so I have to change things up a bit to get my interest going. I try and respond to everyone who has responded to my discussions first. Then I will keep an eye on the discussions I responded to and post more there. I try and make sure none of my friends have 0 responses, and usually you can find something to say about a topic even if you don't know it well. Sometimes I can't even find the words to say to respond. I will hit all the tabs and answer one or two from each one.
I haven't gone to anyone's page and answered like you do. I will have to give that a try too.

That is where I find my BEST discussions. That's how I found this one.
I've challenged a friend to a race to 500 posts. Now I'm desparately looking for discussions I can enjoy enough to answer. THANK YOU for yours!!! She will probably show up in a few minutes so you'll get 2 posts from this!!!
