Not happy with the direction eBay is taking? |
|
This is a new site. One where you can buy and sell, like eBay. But what makes it different than eBay is they have referral contests (my sponser cashed in one & has already received her money- $100!!) Become a catagory expert and make money. Add info to existing catagories, make money. Cash in a referral contest...make money!! This site is still expanding into different catagories all the time. Each time a new catagory opens, more earning opportunities become available. And of course, much like eBay, you can buy and sell items there. No fees paid for items that sell for less than $25. The site is still in Beta testing, growing everyday and paying out to winners of contests. Get in early and put yourself in postion to create a great stream of income!! No referral links allowed in this thread, so you'll have to send me a pm or friend request for additional info!

creationsbyrobin (1268) | 5 months ago | You're right! They are getting too big and I don't think their focus is on auctions any longer. They recently aquired Buy.com (I believe that's the site they purchased or partnered with) and it appears they are slowly drifting towards fixed-price listings and being an overstock warehouse type site. It makes sense for them, much less bandwidth, fewer scammers and much less daily volume. They see that much of their site has turned into an online garage sale and I guess it makes sense to try and sell new, in the box items of the same used/unwanted stuff that everyone tries to sell at auction on eBay. I think they'll grudgingly continue with the auctions, but they know they are pricing out the small sellers... and I don't think for a second they really care. They're a big business with shareholders to answer to. At least this new site, is trying to move in and take some of eBay's market share. They seem to be funded (they had 6 million in start-up cash) and instead of paying for advertising, they are doing it word of mouth and paying weekly (or bi-weekly) referral winners. Thanks for your response!

creationsbyrobin (1268) | 5 months ago | I still like to surf the site looking for some supplies I might use in my crafting, but I'm not thrilled selling there either. PM sent.

creationsbyrobin (1268) | 4 months ago | This new site is completely different than eBay. You can sell (and of course buy) but you list under an item listing. For example, if you're selling a Wii game unit, you place your listing with the other listings. No one knows who the sellers are until they are ready to purchase, you're listing is just group in with the others. They have what they call "category experts". It's a new site so they are looking for people that are very well versed in the category. Someone who can add important info to the category. They allow you to "claim" the category and you can earn a small% on the sales for your category. Or you can contribute info in existing categories and earn. It's a new site and they are in a constant state of adding new categories all the time. When they receive a request, they begin working on adding it to the site, all with the info you share with them. I'll send a link to via a pm! Thanks for responding.

coolseeds (2460) | 4 months ago | I hope to be a category expert. I know my field very well and have a lot of products to fill the category. I'm crossing my fingers.

creationsbyrobin (1268) | 4 months ago | Very cool! A few people from my cash back site have shown proof of payments from this site for $100 and up! I have a few category inquiries pending and from what I understand, even if you're denied because they are yet building that category, they still record that you were the 1st to make the inquiry. I don't know if that means when they get to building up that area, if they come back to you first, but... If eBay continues to blow off their sellers, the buyers will also be looking to other sites for their needs. I'll look for you on the site!

coolseeds (2460) | 4 months ago | I'm still waiting for the link. This going to be my last week on ebay. Someone left negative feedback because an employee wrote 5 seeds on the customs declaration slip. The buyer purchased 10 seeds and received over 20. But is trying to hold what it says as the gospel. I've asked the buyer about 5 times how many seeds did they get and they never answered. They also left the neg before I was able to reply to their message. I told ebay they have until tomorrow to remove it otherwise I will not use their site. I am a powerseller and have sold over $3,000 in a month quite a few times. Over $6,000 more than once. I don't sell that much now because I don't have the time. So I have to limit the sales. But when I 1st started my landscaping company I had to rely on ebay as an income. I look at it this way. If ebay prefers someone with a zero feedback to a powerseller who always pays the bill then they can keep the zero feedback buyer to run all of the other sellers off. I look at it in a positive way. I will have more time to do fun stuff.

creationsbyrobin (1268) | 4 months ago | I haven't yet sold anything on this site, though I will be listing a few items bthe end of the week. I've been active in some of the many other ways to make money on the site. This site is still fairly new and is still in the process of being built. What they are looking for is people with a good deal of knowledge of items they sell because they need people to be category experts. These experts (and you certainly don't have to know everything about the category) help the site fill in the blanks or add the missing info to each page and in return they'll receive a small% of money everytime an item in that category sells. A member can also find pages of categories that are incomplete. If someone adds the missing info to the page, they'll receive a small% everytime that item has sold. They also have referral bonus awards 3 times a month (up to $700 for the top 10 referrers every 10 days) and a game where they give a clue and a member searches the site for the answer and wins $$ (anywhere from 25 cents to $5.00) The game is played every 5 minutes, from 8am-8pm PST. To answer your payment question, the plans currently used are Google checkout and Paypal and I believe they pay via Paypal (but I'm not sure yet...I won't receive my first payout until the middle of next month... buy several paople I know from the cash back site I belong to have shown me proof of payment records for this site...several have been for $100 or more!) The first thing I liked about this site is... there is no fee for items that sell for less than $25 and you can incorporate your eBay feedback rating to your profile at this site. I'll check to see if we're already friends, if we are, I'll send you a link, if not a friend request! Thanks for responding!
