many people say that it is but being a christian is not about being religious anyone can do things religiously it is about a relationship with a risen saviour and lord i am sick of people saying its a religion its not man make religions but i do not serve man i serve god and he says that i am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the farther but by me many people say there are ways to get to god but i dont serve a god of confusion and i know he will not lead me astray he says there is one lord one faith and one baptism and that is in the name of jesus i know if i call on the name of jesus if i use the name of jesus that god will be right there because god jesus says if you have seen my farther you have seen me also and i stand on the truth of gods word the bible yes thats the book for me that is the book i base my life upon it is not mans wisdom it is gods wisdom it is the voice of god speaking through man god uses ordinary people to reach the world for him christianity is not about religion its about relationship with the lord jesus christ so dont get it twisted i know jesus as my personal saviour and i am glad that i do he is my saviour my redeemer and my all in all he means the world to me!!!farther god in the name of jesus i pray on behalf of those who do not know you as the lord and saviour of there life i ask that you move by your spirit in there lives lord god i pray that you would draw them unto yourself and bring them into the saving knowing of who you are and that you are real and that you love them and you want to be there savior there redeemer and friend in jesus mighty name i pray amen!!!!farther god in the name of jesus i lift up every christian every believer in the lord jesus christ right now lord i ask that you touch them that you strengethen them that you empower them to go forth in you lord give them the boldness they need too speak for your word lord continue to use them for your honor and your glory in jesus name i pray amen!!!!!!

Actually Christianity is a way of life. You do not stop being a Christian once you leave your house or leave the church services. You do not then start going to the gambling hall, or cheat, or do the worldly things. That is what the world wants to do, to silence us, to keep us from telling them what is right or wrong. I can find strength only through Christ and no other.

its amazing how many people do not believe in Christ. they believe that they just appeared here somehow by some miracle and that they are not going anywhere but in the ground when they die. i understand what you are saying about the religion thing but most people are not gonna see it they way we do. as you may know more than 50% of the people in the entire world do not believe in God. I mean this is crazy! but it's true. the most we can do is try to show them that there is a God! and He WILL be returning someday soon!

i know not everyone believes but it is still are responsibility to pray for them and tell them about are lord and saviour jesus christ the bible says to go into all the world and preach teach tell proclaim tell everyone that jesus is coming again and that he is risen and he lives forevermore and he can totally transform and change there lives in jesus name we still need too let them know that jesus is the the only way truth and life that he is the only true and living god and there is none other at all but jesus!!!!

This is wonderful issue to raise. For me religion is that people everywhere have the instinct to feel that there is an almighty God because he created us. Several languages in this world had names for various gods and had a name for an almighty God. This confirms the fact that we were created by God and for a close fellowship with Himself. But after the fall we loosed this relationship. Men everywhere are therefore seeking their way back to God through several means and this is what we call Religion.
In christianity, God himself has come to invite us to himself after taking care of what seperated us from him - sin - through Jesus' sacrifice. We have responded to this invitation as christians and are walking in a relationship with God. We have been giving the right of sons with its' attendant rights, power and responsibilities.
CHRISTIANITY IS THEREFORE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD ALMIGHTY THE CREATOR WHILST RELIGION IS MEN SEEKING GOD. But they will not find him except through christ. The testimony to this is between the christians spirit and the Spirit of God. It is a spiritual relationship. Just as paternity test proofs that a child and his father have some blood similarities and the child is therefore the fathers child, that is how a spiritual paternity test should confirm that the christian has a fatherhood relation with God by the Holy Spirit through Jesus christ. I have deliberately decided not to use any scriptural quotation to support this but any one who is interested can have further information.
Christians do not have to keep this privileged relationship with God to themselves but to share it with his neighbours by allowing the holy spirit to use him for effective evangelism and christian teaching and upbringing.

I agree that Christianity isn't a religion; it is a way of life. When you are born-again, you are a changed person and you live your life so that others can see Jesus in you. I see so many who say they are Christians, but they exhibit no fruit. We should also be the same out of church as we are in church - not just Sunday Christians doing whatever we want to do on Monday. The Word should be in us daily and we should show forth holiness every day of the week.
