do you think it's child abuse to smoke in the house when you have kids?

ok duh! someone asked me that question, of course it is, I smoke and so does my boyfriend but we smoke outside no exceptions. why should our kids have to suffer with our silly choices. my parents smoked in the house when i was growing up and i always had colds or had a hard time breathing, so i would never do that to them.

I wouldn't consider it child abuse to smoke in the house. It's a personal choice that may not be a good choice but I sure don't consider it abuse. In my mind, child abuse is physically inflicting pain on a child or annoying them emotionally. I smoked in the house when our kids were growing up and they were fine. I won't smoke inside our kid's homes because they don't want the smell in the house. I respect their wishes and go outside. Second hand smoke is not good but I still don't consider it abuse. I might get bashed for this comment...lol

I think i is, ecause you are exposing them to toxic chemical they are not asking for. I also think it's child abuse to drink enough that it changes your behaviour, inron o your children, causing you to trea them differently because you're UNDER THE INLUENCE, so to speak. Drinking is not second hand unless a person's behaviour is alered, but smoking created second hand smoke that can hardm others.
