Darksorrow, I'm sorry this has happened to you. There are jerks everywhere, so myLot would have to get its share. Still, may I suggest that they got even more from you while all you got was aggravation? They have you so upset that you're giving them all sorts of energy they don't deserve from you. Karma will take care of them, as always, and you can just relax in the knowledge that you did the right thing, and they didn't. Rise above it, dear. They're not worth your efforts and so many others are!

Well, as you know, anything in making money online requires having referrals. i always join something i'm interested in by the person that told me about it. It can be very frustrating to learn they didn't use you and went with a total stranger. I know how you feel because I'm a salesman and when my customers go somewhere else to get the same thing, it just makes no sense. Keep your head high and hope that their sponsor doesn't take care of them. I always try my best to take care of mine.

I know what you mean here as I have been through it too. This is why I prefer to just promote my sites through my blog instead of asking people directly to do exchanges. If someone proposes a site to me then if I'm not on it I'll join using their referral (and by now I know who I can trust to sign up using my ref) but in the past I was bitten like you.
It is so sad that people don't want to 'help you earn' after the trouble you went to to point out a trusted site to them.
The more time you spend doing online ventures then the more 'bad' things you will see believe me but it is no use wasting time thinking about these things, just move on.

I don't have any referrals and I did not join as a referral of anyone else....at least I don't think so. But I don't remember how I found out about this site. LOL.
Choosing to sign in without being a referral is and should be each individual's personal choice. Some people just do not believe in this kind of thing. It is very much like multi-level marketing in the sense that the money is made more on the people signing up below you (referrals) than it is on selling the actual products. Personally I do not like those kinds of businesses having been part of some many years ago.
Another reason they might not have chosen to sign up as a referral might be because they don't fully understand the process and how it would help you, and later on help them if they have people sign up using them as a referral. If they do understand, so what if they didn't want to do it that way? Yeh, it didn't help you any, but, look at it this way...if they are your friends, chances are you will have a lot in common with them and therefore have more discussions to enjoy responding to and making money that way.
Either way, it is their choice and it is a risk you take when you invite others to sign up. Why let it upset you?
Referrals for me isn't going to be a big thing because I don't know that many people online to invite to join. So it doesn't bother me at all one way or another.

I do not think that you have done anything wrong. I have seen a lot of discussions about cheaters and I really think that it's a very low thing to be. yes, i think you're right., those people who signed up to a ptc sites who didn't put up any name for refferals will be bought by others who make an upgrade account., and that is people you didn't even know.,darksorrow, don't get mad by them if they didn't put your name as their referrals then its is up to them ., you cannot force them to do so ., its their choice! just be happy because you taught them good sites and help them to make money., Ü

I had at least 5 people ask me for a site yesterday and not one used me for their referral. Pretty poor effort on their part. I don't understand why people do it, it doesn't hurt them at all and at the very least they could at least say thank you for giving them the information. But they didn't, and I kept the list of all of them, and won't be sharing any more tips.

i am sorry about what happened to you. if i join a money making program, i usually use someone's link, not directly to the hosting site. it can be my friend or someone who inform me about the program. by having a referrer, we lost nothing but earn someone some money; why don't we do that?
well, i think you can just don't reveal the exact url of the site, next time. you can just add a hyperlink at some words like "click here"...

I think some people don't like the idea of being your referral even if you have truly been the first person to refer them to a specific site. I have come across some people like this. THey will absorb all the information and help that you give them, but they will bypass your referral link. I believe in 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. It's unfair, but you just move on. This is one reason why I love mylot, you don't need referrals to make your own money. I think the unfair thing is being bought as a referral. I would rather sign up under someone that I know than be bought as a referral and have no idea who the referrer is. Good luck
