My ancestors are fond of music. They are music lover. In my father's side they have a talent in playing string instruments. In my mother side, they have talent in singing. My my family are music lover. My father knows guitar and he taught us. My mother likes to sing. We are too, we are music lover. And now in our children, they also music lover. I think its hereditary or maybe acquired..

I know that this information could be debated. But I don't think that it should be. The reason being is because music comes from the heart. Even if someone who isn't a huge music fan will have a few songs that they will listen to. Music captures your soul in a sense.

Hi, I think too that being a music lover is something we acquire from our parents. Because in my case, my father's family all loved the guitar and the piano so eventually my brother loved playing the guitar then I the piano. So I believe that the parents or the family can really impart upon birth the genes of being a music lover in their children.

You are exactly right!! I agree because my father is really a music minded and an artist too. He is good in playing string instruments and he taught us how to play the guitar. Me and my brother got it right but my elder sister likes the piano than guitar. We can all sing too and all our kids love music. We can all sing, my eldest son can sing the right note well. so, I believe that music is hereditary although there are some that only acquired it but mostly are in the genes.

Hi
The ability of singing can be hereditary. But there are good singers who doesn't have any ancestors sing well. If the family is fond of music and there are singers and instrumentalists then the children are naturally inclined towards music.

I agree with you padmameera,
if the family members love music and really love to sing, the children also will be interested to sing with them. the more if the parents are very supportive for their kids to learn to play instruments,
it would help a lot.
