Yes, it is true.
Many people believe only the police should have guns. Read this story and extrapolate what else these officers would be up to if only they had guns. Heck, extrapolate what else they probably do when no one else is looking. In this incident, they knew there were witnesses and did not care.

i really don't know what to say. this may sound lame and it's been said before but there is no such thing as common sense any more. i've had the wind knocked out of me.

Well, remember it is New Orleans and their police department is not known for common sense or honesty. The stories about this department after Katrina made this one look tame.

i still don't have mine back. it is too much to process anymore. they don't seem to put forth an effort to do the right thing.
