Is a laptop really required in order to go to college?

A laptop is very useful to have in college but not always necessary. If you are going into a certain major you may need a laptop. I know it's a must for graphic design majors and useful for any kind of art major. There are lots of computers on campus so you should be able to get by without them if you choose to study in a non-computer related field. If you don't want to spend the money on it then you shouldn't

when my friend if you ask me then I will say that in today's technology to development it is very necessary to have a computer if you are going to the college. It is not necessary that you should have a laptop because if you already have a desktop computer at your home than you can take it with you. But the thing is in a hostel laptop may serve better because you have the mobility and also I know there are quite a few hostels wear white fight connectivity is there something that is the computer will not help. It is always better that you go for a laptop such places. But if it is a big problem for you then you can definitely go ahead with the dust of computer although your face of a small problems but it is one of not that big that you cannot work. Our it is always what is your piety which will take the main aim for your decision.

Well I have a laptop and I live with my mother. But I like it because I can take it with me wherever I want. I've never taken it out of the house but If I'm working on something really important and I can't concentrate I could take my laptop to another room of the apartment. But a laptop is good for when you are in college since you have so much college work to do.

Hmmm...when I went to college I didn't have a notebook / laptop but I had a desktop at home though. Really had to have either one to do assignments & all although I would definitely agree on the part that laptops are more convenient if you're in college

it is recommended but not required. however, if you are living in a school dorm, or any place other than your house, then having a laptop is essential. i myself have had two laptops when i was in college. this is particularly helpful when one is doing research in the library. you need not photocopy pages and pages of references. and it is also good when you are always on the go.

maybe.. when i'm in college i don't have laptop even a personal computer. I think having a laptop is good esp., if you have money to buy one.. hehe.. it can help your study specially in research and also projects.
