Everyone would like you to believe that the actions of The New Yorker were extremely bold, daring, or just recklessly brave. True the cover was extremely original, and without restriction of the Obama camp. Their recklessly bold in defiance of what some would say as brazen was truly breath taking. Really though what is the problem. After all, Barack did dump the flag pin. Michelle did say she had never been proud of her country before now. Barack did don that Ali Baba outfit in Somalia. His father and stepfather were Muslims. He does have a benefactor, Bill Ayers, who said after 9-11 he regrets not planting more bombs in the 1960s. He did have a pastor who lionizes Black Muslim Minister Louis Farrakhan. Put glasses on him, and Barack could play Malcolm X in the movies. What does the Obama camp really have to be upset about?

You sure ask embarrassing questions as far as the Obama camp is concerned. Your questions further my hypotheis that the NEW YORKER meant that cover as a slam on Obama and their excuse they are making fun of conservatives is just a lie. If this is true, Obama is toast because if the NEW YORKER feels this way, so do many other usually democratic voters.

Yep, I'll bet a lot of people suspect the same thing. I do.

They are upset because it portrays them in a bad light, and I suspect because that portrayal is too close to being accurate for Obama's liking.
After all that the left has done to bash Bush unfairly all of this years I think Obama should be a MAN and suck it up.
If he can't take the heat of a magazine cover, then he sure can handle the heat of the Oval Office.

Hello Gewcew,
I have nothing to add to the terrific responses you have received here. Though, I did want to chime in to let you know that your razor-sharp wit was certainly missed while you were gone.
Oh, perhaps I do have one thing to add. If Team Obama didn't pull out the 'aghast indredulity', the we couldn't honestly believe that his is a classic liberal.
"I'm stunned"
"I'm so insulted"
"I'm so upset"
"That hurts me deeply"
"That's below the belt"
"That's uncalled for"
"That's just plain mean"
... blah, blah, blah! All the while, they emulate the master, Saul Alinsky. Go figure!

My wit cells have been recharged and I am ready to go until November.
What is so stunning, insulting, upseting, deeply hurts, below the belt, uncalled for, and just plain mean is that one of America's two major parties would elect a dolt like Obama.
