A farmer has become a surrogate mother to a baby bat which is the size of a walnut. Farmer Steve mistook the bat for a spider when he saw it crawl along the living room floor.
The pipistrelle bat has been fed on goats milk with a tiny pipette.
The bat named Boris the Spider (apparently after a song by The Who) wont allow anyone near him.
How amazing is this, can you imagine keeping a bat as a pet??? What would you name your bat if you had one???

It wasn't the greatest Who song but it's here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkU702NRLco
My mum and dad had a battery or whatever you call it in their attic. The Council wouldn't ket them remove the bats so they were there for months until at last they left never to be seen again. Not great ones for potty training bats. The evidence is still ingrained into the floorboards. If I had a pet one I'd call him/her Cinders. Because that's who reminded me of what was in fact quite an exciting natural occurrence in our house.
