Has an idea ever just struck you while watching the movie?

I just had my epiphany while watching part of the movie. I got a great book idea, as I have been trying to write one for some time. I have been trying to write about serious stuff and things that I knew, but didn't know how to express.
Well, I got several ideas for at least 2 childrens book series. I feel deep down that this is going to be the one that makes it. They are short, eventful and what I hope will be considered interesting.
Then again, interesting is overrated. A great example being; See Spot Run.... If ever there was a more boring book....

LOL. I think it's awesome that you got your epiphany while watching a movie. I get ideas from so many things including movies. I'm also working on a book right now. But it's going to be sort of like a teenage series and I am hoping that it works out and I get to publish it. I haven't worked on it in a while. I think my muse left for vacation.
But hopefully she'll come back and help me with it. Good luck with those two series. I am sure that if you work really hard on them then they will be good.

Oh, I got hints of it before this, but it all came together in my head. I find it funny because it came at me something like how it came to Jack Canfield when he was taking a shower. I was watching the visualization part, feeling good and loving and peaceful and all the stuff they were talking about and it just hit me. I have the whole series planned and wrote in my head right now.
Now to find a publisher.

Yeah that is like the hardest part. Writting a book is really hard and all but finding a publisher is just as hard. With so many rejections and stuff, it's just heartbreaking. I haven't started finding a publisher yet but I'll probably need to buy a lot of tissues for when those rejection letters come rolling around.

Believe it or not, I still have my first rejection letter for a series I was doing about a time traveling kid that also incorporated learning about history. I was going to hit on all the different events of life, but they rejected it. And I still have it.
I was devastated when I got it of course, but now... It is kind of a fond memory and a learning experience. The best way to get a book published is to get an agent. Simply put.
I have no idea if agents need paid up front or if they work for commission.

Tannie,
That is great. Write it down as soon as you think of it. Jenny is our writter. She is very creative and loves to write. She keeps a note book with her at all times so when an idea pops into her brain she writes it down.
Just think how many kids learned to read with see spot run. It is probably the most sold children's book.
So you go with your thoughts and be creative. Even if you do not publish you will have fun doing it.

I do something along those lines. If I don't write it down, I ask God to remind me about it when I get near the computer. Hasn't failed yet.

I have seen THE SECRET for over than 200 times. I do not even count it, any time I feel stuck or do not know what to do. I turn this movie on and apply it to any problem I have right now, as well I use it for source of inspiration and creativity.
I think this movie opens up something in Your brains and just lets it go and make You take action towards it.
So just fallow Your inner voice and write it. You have nothing to lose ;)
