Do you take a church visit or mass attending as a catholic obligation?

Sometimes I wonder how God would really like it to be. He gave people free will to decide for things. He really is great for that and wise to give people this free will to maybe challenge them into doing things at their own free will. And sometimes the questions occurs to me...
"Would God want me to attend mass even if i don't feel like going for that day?"
or..
"Would he want me to go whenever i feel like going?"
Is a church visit or mass attending to be taken as a catholic or christian obligation or must it also be by decision of our free will?

Going to church on Sunday is an obligation as a Catholic. So as a Catholic I attend the mass every Sunday.
Before I don’t go to Church for Sunday Mass regularly but when we had this retreat when I was junior in high school I started attending mass regularly with my older sister.
