Betrayal

Hi WATARIKENJI.
For me, it depends on what action the friend did that I would consider a "betrayal". For example, if she said something negative about me behind my back and it got back to me, I might tell her that I know she said this and ask her to talk with me directly about it. Based on how she responded in the discussion, I would determine whether to continue the friendship.

If the friend did something more serious, then I might just gradually stop being friends with the person. Even so, it seems like the best policy to talk with the friend about what has upset me, to see if the friendship can be salvaged.

If a close friend would betray me, then i would try to know the main reason for his betrayal. I would try to realize and think what mistake have i done which returned in getting betrayed. I would try to find my mistake and if i didnt find any, then i would try to sort out the problem by talking to the other person who has betrayed me. I would try to make everything as mormal as it was before.

I can never trust a friend you betrays me. The best thing is to ignore and keep distance from such a person.

People who know me know that they only get one chance with me, ad that I will not blow my chance with them. Someone betrays me, and that is it!! I don't hae time for people like that in my life.

i am a person who easily forget small fights that i had with my friends, or siblings. but when u do something that will really make me angry, takes time for me to forget it. but then again, after am ok, i make friends with them. i dont keep grudges makes me feel not good at all.

(d) “Everyone is deceiving you and you are not”.

(e) “ Every body hates you and you do not, at the same time, you are not proud to be ‘good’ and ‘wise’.

(f) “ If you Can dream, but do not allow them to overpower you, and you Can ‘think’ but at the same time, do not live into dreams of ‘thinking”.

(g) “If you can welcome ‘gains’ and ‘defeat’ with open hearts and they do not unbalance your mind”.

(h) “If you Can accept your own words in twisted/mutilated/distorted form happily by ‘fools’ and they do not
involve you in their bad plans”.

(i) “ If you can bear, the items made by you ‘raised to ashes, for which you took whole life to build them, and at the same time you can once again order your tired hands to restart making”.

(j) “ If you can take one chance to reduce your gains in your life, ‘loose’ or ‘gain’

(k) “If you can, after loosing every bit in your life, get ready fresh to obtain the same with total energy from all corners of your body and mind, without uttering a word even”.


(l) “ If you Can compel your heart, mind and limbs, when they ARE so tired and refuse to accept any thing, except that your ‘belief’ and ‘desire’ to order them that they have to march forward and not falling back”.

I feel the same way you do about friends that betray us. I would never trust them with anything again. I would still be friendly and if they ask for my help I would give it as much as I could, but the trust is gone and can never really be repaired.

It depends on who it is and what my history is with that person, you know? One of my very best friends had access to my money. I had over $1000 and she spent $700 of it when her son got in trouble and needed a lawyer. She was never able to pay that money back. At the time I was in very bad health and I wanted her to be able to get to my money if I couldn't take care of myself. Of course I went to her about this and she said she would pay it back. She never did. I finally told her my friendship with her was too important to throw away over money.. and I just forgave the debt.. then I did go out of her life for a good 5 years. She didn't know where I was. She never heard from me until I finally just showed up one day on her doorstep. I was 140 pounds lighter and she almost didn't recognize me. I love her like always and would trust her with anything except my money. I would still give her money if she needed it, but I wouldn't ever let her borrow because I won't loan money I am not willing to lose.. if that makes sense.
