My cell phone is damaged. I don't know what to do

Okay so my darn cell phone is damaged. It's not such a big deal because I can live without it but I need it for now because the cable hasn't turn on the services yet. And since I have the cable, internet and phone it's kind of a problem. But the good thing is that they never take of the internet. So now I can turn on the cell phone on but after it turns on the screen is white and I can see the battery but that's about it. I can't do anything at all. I only have a few months on my contract and after that I am thinking of changing to verizon. But for now I just need this crappy phone to work for now. It's kind old already and the charger is broken and stuff. So I went to the Sprint store and they have this thing where you can upgrade your phone but I can't do it because I need to log in. And I can't log in because I need a pin. And to make a pin I need to get the code that they sent to my phone. So you get the idea, since I can turn on the phone I can't get the code. So I am praying that the cell phone turns on for at least a little while. Has this happened to you before? Has something else happened to your phone? If so how did it happened and how did you fix it?
