We went to a terrific gospel singing last night!!

My son Stuart and I went with Amanda and Mark to a wonderful singing last night in Verona, Mississippi!! The group The Inspirations were there and another gentleman. We thoroughly enjoyed it!! I think it was so neat that Mark was willing to take Stuart and I along on their date. This wasn't the first time either. But he and Amanda love southern gospel music just like Stuart and I do and so he asked Amanda if we would like to go. :) We got information about another singing coming up in November while we were there last night and Mark asked us if we wanted to go that one also. He said he will go ahead and get the tickets if we do. I think we are going to go if he brings it up again. We really got a blessing out of The Inspirations last night and they are going to be at the singing in November along with another group we enjoy hearing called The McCaymees.

So glad you enjoyed the gospel show. My church is giving a gospel concert next Saturday. Gospel music is so moving and inspirational. I love it. I sing in my church choir, and sometimes I can't even get the words out because I am so filled with the spirit.
Hope you are able to go to the next event. It was so nice of amanda and Mark to invite you to join them. That's what a Christian is all about.

Hi There! I love gospel music also. I especially love Southern Gospel. I sing in our church choir also. Our director picks a mixture of the older songs and some more contemporary but I love it all. Thanks so much for responding!!

Hi Lucy!! Do you live near Boonville, Mississippi? It won't be until November 8 but the Inspirations are going to be there along with the Masters Quartet and the McCaymees. Mark said he would get us tickets if we want to go and I told Amanda to tell him yes if he brings it up again because that is, I'm sure, going to be another good one. :)

Oh my word, my parents and I were just talking this morning about The McCaymees! I was reminding them about how the older lady used to love to kick her shoes off during the singing. We used to hear them all the time. At our former church people loved to get one of their songs to sing in church for the singing special. I'm glad you guys had such a wonderful time. That Mark gets along with you all so well surely bodes well.

I have never heard the McCaymees in person and I would really love to go!! I had heard that from someone else about the older lady kicking her shoes off too. :) I hope Mark will bring it up again and ask Stuart and I to go because I know it will be another wonderful singing!!

Ha! Ha! Well if we do go I'll make sure to take plenty of pictures. I took pictures Saturday night when we saw The Inspirations but we didn't get in a really good spot so I don't know how well they turned out. When I get a chance I'll upload them here on my laptop and send them to you. :)

That's awesome that you and Stuart got to share spiritually with Amanda and Mark at the gospel singing by the inspirations. It's like the saying the family that prays together, stays together! Off to a wonderful start Amanda and Mark. I know you are gleaming with Joy!

Good Morning Terri!! I agree with you wholeheartedly on that!! I know we can't go on all their dates with them LOL but I certainly enjoy going to these singings. :) I'll let you know when we go to another one!! :) Mark told me last night that he thinks I will make a good mother-in-law. I told him I appreciated that and then I had to hurry and get out of the room because I'll be honest that choked me up. He had gone to church with Amanda last night after they came back from his family reunion. We had been home for a while when they got back from eating and that was when he told me that. He is so sweet.
