direct download or torrent?????

I haven't used torrent yet, but I usually use a p2p software. I've used file sharing services and they're such a drag!

Both ways are good but with some different disadvantages.
I'm using both of these whether direct downloads or torrents,
Directdownloads are quite time limited donwlinks, speed limited depending on user type(Free/Premium) and unresumable for non-premium accounts.
Torrents are good when there's a lot of seeds/seeders, sometimes at max download speed rate,sometimes are off to download, resumable, but sometimes included with trojans so be wise.

I can't think whose better, but I maybe more preferred using torrents because DD's are mostly divided with parts and I don't like to spare some minutes to click another part to download next up to the last part when the file is large enough.
I rely on torrents that can leave them for a day or two without checking the download progress from time to time.

Torrent gets the whole Download package for me, nevertheless both are efficient.

I usually use direct download but when there are no other methods then I will use torrent. But I prefer to use direct download because it is faster for me and there is less chance of downloading any malware because I set my browser to prompt for all downloads.

I'd used torrents instead of that it download such as rapid share etc. Using torrents is quite simple and that you can keep track of all the files that you have downloaded by saving the torrent files. Also it enables or provides the resume download feature which is very sensual and helpful. Sometimes not many people seed the torrent files but and most of the time is faster than Direct download Web sites. I don't know how many GBs I have downloaded using torrent. As far as I can estimate I think I have around 250 DVDs and 150 CDs. Movies, games, softwares, e-books, television shows, music videos, songs etc. There is a plethora of data available on the Internet.

I like Utorrent very much because it's light on my laptop. I can't even remember installing it. I downloaded an application from their site and it's the same application that I clicked and the program ran. I don't know how they did it.

I prefer torrents over direct downloads...

because of the following reasons.:-
----We can stop and resume downloads at any time... and any no of times... but most of these sharing sites hav limit on this....
----If anything happens to my download, i can always resume it in torrents, without any problem... In other direct links... if i get some error... i have to strat all over again...
----Torrents do not have limit on download speed or no of downloads perday, likt other sites...

i always preferred a direct download because my experiences with torrents really turned me against it. for me it was usually a long slow process of obtaining a file through torrents, and sometimes i'd even get the wrong file -.-

direct downloads can be quicker and easier but I prefer torrents because it's more communal - private niche sites tend to have a strong community of people uploading rare things from their collections, and there's more of a focus on sharing files with each other instead of just downloading them plus you don't have the problem of having to wait or pay when trying to download more than one file or the timelimit before it's deleted.

i usually use the direct format to download files ... what do you people do? direct or torrent?

I'd certainly prefer Torrents.The downloads are really fast. The best features is that the downloads can be paused and done later which isn't possible with direct downloads. Also its possible to preview video files before downloading it completely which cannot be done with direct downloads.
