As we struggle to meet the demands of our everyday lives, how can we find the reason to be truly happy? How can we smile when our hearts are deeply wounded? How can we laugh soundly when all our dreams are falling apart? Sometimes, it's just so difficult to say my life is alright and I'm happy. But whenever my mobile phone beep and I've read a friend's message, I remember just how many people cares for me. When I got home from work and I join my family for dinner, I remember just how many blessing I have. Whenever my daughter says "I love you Mom more than anything and anybody else", I remember just how many women are wishing to have a child of their own. When I go out of the house and see my neighbor, I remember just how lucky I am to have a sight, to walk, to hear. When I pass by the church, I remember how lucky I am because I have my faith. several years ago I might cringe at the thought of living a life like what I have right now. My definition of happiness has extremely changed from what it was 5 years ago. My life is more in order then, but now I can say it's far from it. But you know what, I am more happier now. Maybe because I have been able to appreciate the simplest things in life. I've known myself more and my faith is more stronger. Problems won't make me bat an eye now, because I know whatever happens, I can still find the reasons to smile. How about you what makes you happy in your most depressing moments??

when mac makes an effort to make me laugh when he senses that i am about to burst into tears. my bestfriend who listens to me when i needed someone to talk to and comforts and hugs as well. people who shows they care and appreciates you. simple things such as these makes me smile. they don't really have to exert too much effort because as long as their presence is there i end up smiling.

My family keeps me happy despite the struggles that I face each day. While I'm with them, I feel comfortable and relax. When we hang out together I tend to forget my problems and enjoy their company.

I find myself feeling depressed from time to time and I don't know why. I usually try to keep busy though. I like to think about and count my blessings. The things that I have like my family which includes my soon to be five year old son. He can really bring out the best in a bad time. You just need to focus on the positive. It's a healthy thing for our mental well being and outlook.

I agree. Often times it's the most simple things in life that matters. Because it is what truly makes us happy. Sometimes we might fall that the whole is crushing down on us but when we look at our surroundings and see our blessings, we realize that there's a lot of reasons why we should be thankful.
