If you are, don't feel bad, it turns out you share your concern with the foreign
policy expert himself, Senator John McCain who said this on Good Morning America:
"We have a lot of work to do. It’s a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq-Pakistan border."
For those of you who share McCain's questionable knowledge of geography, there is no common border between Iraq and Pakistan.

As you can see by the map, if you didn't already know, what's between Iraq and Pakistan is - IRAN!

So he got a million dollar earmark for the hospital where his wife works so that means he "bought" her a raise? Hospitals get earmarks everyday, some are even for worthwhile purposes. As an Illinois Senator what was so unusual about that? If we looked into the personal lives of every lawmaker from both parties we'd probably find plenty of similar examples, don't you think? I'm not defending wasteful spending and I agree these earmarks have to be reduced but I don't think it's a fair statement to say Obama paid a million dollars for Michelle's promotion.
I'm trying to find what you were referring to when you wrote, "I gave thousands of dollars to a radical who helped me get elected. I did not use his money but ours." Anyway, this post isn't about Obama and I must respectfully say this response is an example of what I was referring to in a post I started a month or so ago about "apples and oranges".
Everyone misspeaks and I'll go so far as saying these candidates and all their staff members that travel with them have to be totally exhausted much of the time but there are cases of simply mixing your words up or thinking one thing and having something slightly different come out of your mouth but I think there have been enough examples of serious gaffes by McCain to make me more than a little concerned even if I did agree with any of his politics. It blows my mind that not only is nobody worried about it but the media doesn't even report it other than a very brief mention if that.

To your last paragraph I would agree. I think that sometimes the news media heckles them too much by repeating the same question over and over again so that they can show their listers and viewers that they have asked an important question. I remember one News conference that President Bush had and he was asked at least 5 times about a withdrawal from Iraq. That news conference generated a comment from a former White House Reporter that in the past reporters had a list of questions and would check them off as they were asked. To the former reporter todays reporters have only one or two questions and once they were asked they don't have any back up and he felt this is sloppy reporting by the new reporters.

Think maybe it was a Freudian slip?? He couldn't possibly be that uneducated could he? I mean I am not good with geography but I am not running for president of this country either. If we elect McCain we will have two semi educated presidents in a row. What will the world think of us then?

Well I don't think that FOX would EVER say something bad about a Republican. One could go out and commit cold blooded murder and they would be like oh, well the man murder didn't work and was a waste to society so he did a great job for us all.

Granted the guy is running for President and should know his geography, he is not uncommon in the US. A large majority of the population can not point out Iraq or Iran on a map. Nor can they point out Pakistan. This is a common mistake and shouldn't be made a huge deal.
I personally don't think anyone on here could go through the pressures of a campaign and not make mistakes. It just can't happen.
