I need to begin to write another book. But I wont leave myLot!

Do you like to write about what? If you tell me maybe I have some sugestions.

Is it urgent? if so, go write it first, myLot won't fly away anyways... but if it's not just enjoy your time in myLot and write your book when you're less addicted to it, or have a schedue ex. write book for 3 hours, my lot 3 hours.

Yes Rocco, you can work on your book and when you need a break you can visit us here at mylot. Take frequent breaks, that way it will help to clear your mind of the book your writing and maybe even give you new ideas too. Remember when your writing your book if you ever get stuck on something and need an opinion you can always pop in here and ask us for opinions, one of us just might have the answer you need.

That first sentance says it all - you NEED TO BEGIN! Books do not write themselves. Neither do they get done overnight. So allocate yourself some time to close the browser and work on the book. Get the outline done, chapter headings etc (for non ficiton). Then allocate some time for the internet & mylot etc.

I use two computers - the laptop is in the family room area and I use it for email and this stuff; my work computer is downstairs and although I go onto the internet for research, I never go into email. That way I do not get distracted.

i just never went online if i need to work on anything.. then after i work on whatever for awhile i take a break and check the internet out

I feel the same way. The internet is so distracting it is hard to focus on work required by computer. If you had to do some other kind of work it is easy to just turn off the computer and go do it. But when your work requires the computer, like writing, there are so many distractions. I am supposed to be editing my novel, or writing short stories and poems, anything, but I am too distracted and just can't seem to get anything done. If I could focus I could get my novel finished and out to agents and publishers before the end of the year. I really must tell myself to just do it and then follow through.
