Have you already found your Helen of Troy?

According to Greek Mythology, Helen of Troy was the most beautiful woman who lived during her time. There have been a number of movies about Helen of Troy. Do you think any of those who played Helen was really what Helen should be in terms of physical beauty? As for me, Rosanna Podesta (who played Helen in the 50's) was fine. What about you. If there's another movie about Helen, do you see any actress who may give justice to that role?

I can't think of that many actresses that have played Helen of Troy. Apart from Rosanna Podesta there is that German actress - is it Diane Kruger maybe? Anyway both are very pretty but I just never think of Helen of Troy as being a blonde. I think a brunette would suit the role much better. So bearing that in mind I think Elizabeth Taylor circa 1960's would have been perfect for the part. As for current actresses I'm not sure - the Indian actress Ashwarya Rai (think that's how you spell it!) is in my opinion the most beautiful actress around today so she would get my vote.
