It's so humid that the floors won't dry

I just finished sweeping and mopping the floors in the whole house. No carpet here, so I had to do every inch of the floor, plus shake out and wash the area rugs. Ok, don't feel too sorry for me, it's a small house. But it took forever, and I am sweating. But now the floors won't dry, because it is so humid and sticky and it's raining. I turned on the fans, but they're not helping much. I really hate mopping floors. This is just one more thing to hate about it. Wishing for wall to wall carpet.
Thanks for listening. If you have any complaints you want to share I'll return the favor.

Sounds like we are both doing the same things: Mylot and cleaning! I have posting an answer and clean for 5 minutes. It is a system that is working well for me because I have just cleared floor one and onto floor two. Sad to say, it sounds like I have a bigger house for you and alot more space to cover!
It is rather humid outside here too and the kitchen floor is taking forever to dry. My sister showed me a trick with cleaning floors: sweep, vacuum then mop. We both have cats and the vacuum gives it a little more cleaning boost before hitting the mop with it.
I use organic cleaners in my home. Suprisingly, it is cheaper to by and safer to use! Have a great cleaning day! :-)

Yes, I like to take a break in between jobs, it makes me not so cranky. Though my house is small, there is a lot to do and it seems to take all day. Especially with a curious and helpful toddler at my heels. But the floors are completely done now, and some are even dry.
I sometimes vacuum after sweeping or instead of sweeping. We don't have pets, but my hair is everywhere! I also use natural cleaners, ones that don't need to be rinsed, so that saves some time.
