Goodness, what's with Dragon Ball Z?

i would have to say that there was a phase where i got addicted to dragonball Z. there were instances where it is being aired in cable (take note, in Mandarin), yet i still watched it. here abroad, there are certain channels that broadcasts "Dragonball Z" - italian, french and german versions and addicted as i was, i still watched it. i can't really pinpoint what is there in Dragon Ball Z that got me hooked. probably because i want to see Gouku's (the hero) adventures. from childhood to adulthood, to being a grandfather back to becoming a child again. i mean, its really fascinating and at the same time, unrealistic. for someone from another planet fight for the planet he had known to be his home (just like superman), that's really something!

it is also my favorite, and i am still watching it together with my son. maybe many people likes to watch it because of the non stop action and funny scenes. it also exhibits the never say die character of son goku which of course loved by the viewers.

Well, I have watch only a few episodes here and there of the whole series.
And I found it really funny. Be it in terms of story line or cartoon characters.
The story is colorful. The characters are well portrayed. And main cast are so lovable. What is there not to like about it?

Fantasy, color pictures, fantastic story line, it is a great formula for a show that would last for generations to come!

I agree it's very famous but after several times it was aired. I actually got tired of it. Villains are more or less similar to each other and the storyline only showed how characters got stronger and stronger. I don't know maybe because I'm exposed to a lot of anime and manga that's why Dragon Ball actually looks a little ordinary for me already.
